Dr. Uzma Afzal has a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham. She completed a one-year Post-Doc from NYUAD in 2021 and is a visiting Fellow at the Center for Behavioral and Institutional Design (C-BID) NYUAD. She is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Development and Economic Alternative (IDEAS), Pakistan.  

Dr. Afzal’s research interests lie in behavioral and experimental economics and applied microeconomics to study topics in development and health economics, gender, social norms and decision-making, microfinance and firm behavior.
