Dr Shenila Rawal is an applied economist specialising in education, labour markets and issues of gender and poverty. Her research has involved extensive training and experience in applying quantitative evaluation methods to analyse large-scale data sets, designing and implementing the collection of primary data as well as designing and implementing randomised control trials in the field of education. She has and continues to work as an external consultant to several organisations such as the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the World Bank. She is Managing Partner at The Oxford Partnership for Education Research and Analysis (OPERA) an organisation that engages in pioneering research and evaluations on education policy and practice globally. Shenila is also a Trustee of the British Asian Trust.
