Dr. Saher Asad is an Economist at the World Bank working in Education Global Practice on South Asia Region. Previously she worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). She taught courses on Development Economic Theory, Water Economics, Environmental Economics and Statistics and Data Analysis. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from George Washington University in 2016.  She is a development economist working in the applied empirical microeconomics area. Current projects include studying the impact of ICTs on agriculture and labor market choices for women, incentives in agricultural markets, environment and natural resource economics as well as role of incentives in improving the education sector.
