Zahra Siddique is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Bristol. She completed her PhD from Northwestern University and BSc Honors from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. Zahra’s research interests are in micro-econometrics, labor economics and development economics. Her current research examines gender related topics in the labor market such as gender discrimination, female labor supply and the economic causes and consequences of violence against women. Her research has been published in international academic journals including the Journal of the American Statistical Association and the Journal of Labor Economics, among others, and has been cited in media outlets such as Foreign Policy and the Economist.
